Connection Choices for International Toll Free Service

For International Toll Free Service (ITFS), we offer 2 types of connection choices:

  • PSTN Number Mapping (Public Switched Telephone Network)
  • SIP Connection (Session Initiation Protocol Connection/ SIP Trunking)

PSTN Number Mapping is the traditional circuit-switched telephone networks which offers telecommunication service. PSTN involves physical infrastructure setting, including telephone lines, fiber optic cables, communication satellites, submarine telephone cables and so on. Therefore, the cost of using PSTN Number Mapping to dial is much higher than SIP Connection, especially for long distance calls. The only two advantage is that such a traditional call connection method does not rely on the Internet, and technically, it is easily to be set up than SIP Connection.
